Slippery fish, slippery fish, swimming in the water…. This has been the choice song to sing at morning meeting lately so we decided to switch our interest of farm animals too water animals. We have been busy this week discussing different fish and what other animals we see underwater, such as octopuses, whales, dolphins and starfishes. We also read the book rainbow fish, the children were so interested in the rainbow fish that we decided to make our own. So we painted a big sheet of paper blue for our ocean, (many of us painted our own bodies blue as well), and then we used different colored bingo dabbers to create our own rainbow fish. You can see our own ocean hanging up in the back of the classroom. We have also been going outside all week to take advantage of this beautiful weather, we went and climbed a big snow mountain and played in the snow with buckets and shovels. It has been a very busy week for us in Quartz classroom.
