Last week in Quartz room we were super busy! We continued our exploration of colour and reflection. With Emily, some of the children explored splatter painting outside! This involved throwing the paint at a piece of paper and watching the colours “splat” across! It was a messy and fun experience! The children also had the ability to identify all the colors they know. They are becoming quite knowledgeable artists! They also expressed an interest in Goldilocks and the three bears.
Shelby provoked the children to start cutting fruit, the children became more skilled as they used this new technique with play-doh. The next day the children really seemed to grasp the concept and cut their own snack! Day by day everyone is becoming more competent and confident!
We would also like to wish Shelby good luck and a sad farewell. She is done school for the summer and will be continuing her journey as she become an early learning teacher.
